If you were to talk to a business person in any other industry and tell them your business model what would they say? This isn’t verbatim, but essentially a question and answer session I had with a new investor. He didn’t know to what extent I was involved in the industry and I pretended like I wanted to know more. Looking back on the conversation I realized that unfortunately the hope and pray method is the business model of choice for many domainers. Would your discussion go like this?

Sorry for my english langage, I speak and I understand a very little... I read this "pray interview" and if I understand, Sedo is a Trash can domainor's ??? I make fun :blum1:

In short, the message is that too many (rookies) domainers don't do research and register poor domains without even thinking if there might be any kind of demand for those.
They treat domains like lottery tickets. They rely on sheer luck rather than analyze the market to understand what types of domains are in demand.
That is gambling, not investing :blum1:
